Book of John Reading Plan

This spring, in conjunction with our teaching series The Grave Robber, we have a reading plan available through the Gospel of John.  The Gospel of John tells us about the life of Jesus, His ministry, His death and resurrection. John’s main purpose in writing is so that readers would see clearly who Jesus is, and believe in Him.

We believe that the Bible is powerful and changes us as it reveals Jesus to us. As we read together, there are some helpful tools and processes that can aid you in understanding and applying what you read.

S = Scripture
Read the Bible passage for the day. Copy the verse which catches your attention word for word into your journal.

O = Observation
Write a brief description of what is going on in the passage you read. What phrases, words, or statements jump out to you? Why?

A = Application
Write about how will your life be different today because of what you have read.
• Lessons to be learned
• Examples to be followed or avoided
• Promises to be claimed and enjoyed
• Character trait of God revealed

P = Prayer
Write out a prayer for yourself and others based on what you read today.
